HEALTHelp

Permaworld and Permaculture Community

We recently installed some new software similar to myspace and facebook to provide members with the ability to share blogs, video, music, articles, events and much more. Once we have it all setup we'll launch it.

Permaculture Courses Online

We want to develop online Permaculture training courses that anyone can access and gain knowledge to implement permaculture principles and practices into their lives. Course will be presented in modules and incorporate video, audio, images and text along with a discussion forum and support for an online video/voice/text conference facility.

'Grizzly' BEAR Software

In 2005 we commenced development of a software application to replace the software we were currently using to manage Permaworld. We decided to call it BEAR Software (Business Enterprise Automation & Replication) with the nickname 'Grizzly'. The software is designed with a simple web installer, quick setup and the ability to automate many processes involved in managing an internet business.

The software is available free to anyone using PermaHOST web hosting. It can be used for replicating an unlimited number of websites and provide data collection and member management.

The Grizzly is approximately 80% completed. Due to our programmer's other work commitments, the software is yet to be completed and we are seeking an advanced PHP programmer who may be interested in working with us to complete the project.

The latest venture by Dr Dobbs and IDW is to make the 'healing powers' of dolphins more accessible to humans without compromising their freedom to roam the oceans. The 'Dolphin Dome Project' uses modern technology to project picture and sound inside a 'tent like' dome providing a virtual dolphin experience for the audience.

Permaculture_international

greenbutton_textmediumPermaculture International helps fund a world wide network and movement of individuals and groups working in both rich and poor countries on all continents. Largely unsupported by government or business, these people are contributing to a sustainable future by reorganising their life and work around the implementation and teaching of permaculture design principles. In this way they are creating small local changes but ones which are directly and indirectly influencing action in the wider environment, organic agriculture, appropriate technology, communities and other movements for a sustainable world.

greenbutton_textmediumPermalot.......Over the hills, through the woods, and at the end of a dead-end road; that's where you'll find the little Hamlet of Bouzov Svojanov; a 600 year old village with a present-day population of only 16 people. It is also here that you will find our ecovillage initiative where we seek to create a model for rural sustainability and in doing so seek to return life to a village almost abandoned by the modern migration to the city. Permalot's vision is based on the following core elements:

greenbutton_textmediumTo stimulate the final processing of local products within the microregion
greenbutton_textmediumTo facilitate alternative education, with an emphasis on the environment and language
greenbutton_textmediumLow impact Ecotourism
greenbutton_textmediumCreate systems that produce more than they use
greenbutton_textmediumWork with nature, not against it
greenbutton_textmediumCooperation rather than competition

greenbutton_textmediumTrees for the Future (TFTF) is a registered non profit charitable organization dedicated to helping people of developing countries begin environmentally beneficial, self-help projects. In the most practical and cost-effective way they are working to help people plant the trees and bring back the forests that give them, and us, hope for a future. Every day 100,000 acres of forests are cleared by destruction, logging, and "slash-and-burn" farming. The program of TREES FOR THE FUTURE proves these lands can be saved. Their tree planting projects restore degraded soil, provide firewood for cooking and warmth, create buffers for forests, control erosion, help to maintain the water table and increase crop yields and sequester carbon and give back life giving oxygen.
