Stezka Ceskem Trail – Czech Republic
Start: 15th April 2026. Finish: July 2026
The 2000 km Stezka Českem hiking trail showcases the diversity, tranquility, and surprising wildness of the Czech Republic. This long-distance trail encircles the entire country along its borders, leading through mountains, forests, national parks, small villages, and remote landscapes that even many locals are unfamiliar with.
Via Dinarica + Peaks of the Balkans Trails – Bosnia & Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo
Start: July 2026. Finish: September 2026
Exiting the EU after 3 months and starting on the Via Dinarica Trail as it enters Bosnia & Herzegovina. Continuing on trail to connect with the Peaks of the Balkans Trail and then finishing back in Kosovo at the town of Peja. From there on a train to stay and spend a week or more resting at a friend’s house in a small village near Skopje in Northern Macedonia.
High Scardus Trail – Albania, Kosovo, Northern Macedonia
Start: September 2026. Finish: October 2026
The High Scardus Trail is a 495 kilometer remote walking trail through the Balkan countries of Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia along the Albanian Sharr Mountains and the wild terrain of Korab-Koritnik Nature Park, home to Mount Korab (2,764m), the highest peak in both Albania and North Macedonia.
Lycian Way – Turkey
Start: October 2026. Finish: November 2026
A legendary long-distance trail where ancient history and wild beauty collide. Winding for 760 km along coastal cliffs, turquoise bays, pine-scented mountains and forgotten stone villages. It is a joyful, soul-stirring journey through myth, nature and adventure.

Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines
Started: 1st May, 2025. Finished: 15th February, 2026
Buying a motorbike in Hanoi, Vietnam and exploring 6,500 km on roads and trails in as many out of the way areas of Vietnam, Then a month trip hiring a motorbike in Phuket, Thailand and traveling north. Then flying to Cebu, Philippines, buying a motorbike there and exploring 6,000+ km before selling the bike in Davao and flying back to Australia.
Fisherman’s Trail – Portugal
Started: 29th Oct 2024. Finished: 11th Nov 2024
The Fisherman’s Trail is a walking route in the south of Portugal. It’s part of the Rota Vicentina network. The trail is considered one of the most beautiful coastal routes in the world. The scenery along the route is breathtaking; rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, stunning lookouts, charming towns, clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean, and diverse wildlife.
Camino del Norte – (Section – 12 Days) Spain
Started: 7th Oct, 2024. Finished: 19th Oct, 2024
The 824 km Camino del Norte, also known as “Camino de la Costa” or “Camino de Santiago del Norte” is one of the oldest pilgrimage routes in Spain, crosses the Iberian Peninsula from east to west, bordering, in a winding way, the entire Cantabrian coastline.
Hexatrek – France, Spain, Andorra
Started: 15th May, 2024. Finished: 4th Oct 2024
The HexaTrek is a 3034 km trail, linking 14 of the most beautiful natural parks in France. Hiking France from the Vosges, through the French Alps, Vanoise and Ecrins National Parks then crossing the Pyrenees from east to west.
Tour du Mont Blanc – France, Italy, Switzerland.
A side trip while hiking the Hexatrek

The Tour du Mont Blanc or TMB is considered one of the most popular long-distance walks in Europe. It circles the Mont Blanc massif, covering a distance of roughly 165 kilometres (103 mi) with 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) of ascent/descent and passing through parts of Switzerland, Italy and France.
Te Araroa Trail – New Zealand

The Te Araroa — New Zealand’s Trail — is a continuous 3,000 km walking track from Cape Reinga to Bluff. Te Araroa means “The Long Path”.
Discover remote villages, magical kauri forests, breathtaking volcanic scenery, mountains and bustling cities on New Zealand’s Te Araroa trail.
This route stretches from Cape Reinga in the North Island to Bluff, located on the tip of the South Island. The Te Araroa is one of the world’s newest long-distance hiking trails.
